Pope Palpatine I Update: I'm kind of embarrassed about this post now, as the joke turned out to be obvious enough that people all over the Internet did it better than I did. (The funniest thing I saw was the Wikipedia article on Ratzinger where someone temorarily changed the picture to Ian McDiarmid's face.) I didn't even get around to photoshopping blue lightning in or anything.
